Meet Gudetama, the lazy egg from Sanrio! He's hiding in September's Premium crates.
Who/What is He?
In-case you’re not already familiar with Sanrio characters, they mainly embody all things cuddly and cheery. That’s not the case with Gudetama, the super lazy egg, who enjoys activities like rocking himself to sleep in his egg shell, procrastinating, taking naps on beds of rice, and curling up in a bacon blanket. He’s typically quite whiny and always has a face of distress, all related to the fact that he only exists to be eaten.
What Does ‘Gudetama' Mean?
Gudetama gets his name from a combination of two words: “gude” (pronounced goo-deh), which is a Japanese term for describing something or someone with no energy or strength; and “mama” (pronounced tah-mah), which comes from the word tamago, meaning “egg” in Japanese. Gudetama fits this description perfectly, as he, well, lacks the energy and motivation to do anything at all!
If you received a Premium crate this month, you found one of five possible Gudetama keychains! Take a look at all them and tell us which one is your favorite! (✿◠‿◠)
Gudetama can't be helped with his motivation, but we would love to see you include him in your daily life, like these creative images featuring nail art and real food! Use hashtag #mygudetama and tag us on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter. There's a good chance we'll feature you! \(≧∇≦)/
