Ever tried Sekihan? It's a traditional Japanese dish that uses azuki beans to make red rice! This one is made using glutinous rice, so it's extra chewy! Enjoy it on its own or as a side dish.

Try with: black sesame seeds, sweet potato, dried seaweed

Instructions:

  1. Peel the plastic film up to the black line.
  2. Microwave for 2 minutes at 500W-600W.
  3. Or, don't remove the film and place in a pot face up.
  4. Add water to the pot and cook for 15 minutes. Enjoy!

YUZU SEA BREAM DASHI OCHAZUKE

家族の柚子香る鯛だし茶漬け

Ochazuke is a simple yet totally delicious Japanese comfort food! You simply top your bowl of rice with these tasty flakes and add hot water. This one uses sea bream with a hint of yuzu citrus for many umami-packed yet refreshing mouthfuls!

Try with: rice, soup, noodles

Directions:

  1. Add 100g of rice to a bowl.
  2. Sprinkle a large spoonful (6.2g) of the product as shown.
  3. Add 150ml of hot water to the bowl.
  4. Enjoy!

  2. If using a microwave, open the packet into a bowl and cover with plastic wrap.

Koyadofu is freeze-dried tofu that's a staple in Japanese kitchens! This kind is bite-sized and comes with a flavor-packed vegetable seasoning to cook it with!

Directions:

  1. Add 200ml of water and 1 flavor packet to a pot for every 6 pieces of Koyadofu.
  2. Bring to a boil and add the Koyadofu.
  3. Boil over medium heat (for 8-10 mins) until only a little liquid is left.
  4. Enjoy!
